Twelve year old Jacob Bestard experienced the excitement of tossing his first mammoth scores in his young bowling career in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this week. The 134 average bowler tossed 673 (194-279 - 11 strikes in a row - 145 pins over average - 200 - 271 pins over average for three games). He accomplished his personal best highest single and triple in the SMAA Youth Preps division at Marcin Bowl. He had never rolled a 200 single or 500 triple before.

Dennis Ramsay fired his season’s 20th 700 plus series 761 (290-235-236) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League competition. He was shadowed by George Reid 732 (279), Corey Willemsen 700 (235-239), Brad Cook 699 (247-239), Mike Marciniszyn 691 (256), Andre Dion 673 (276), Doug Black 673, Jeff Raymond 661 (243), Bill Best 258, Justin Romanik 255, Butch Wilson 245, Dan Beauvais 237, Shane Chipman 233, Tom Stokes 232 and Jordan Croskery 230. In Marcin Sunday Night Mixed League activity, the ladies’ main scores were Cori Landon 217-190, Stella Strand 213, Kathy Dafoe 181 and Malori Bourne 170. The men’s noted scores were Joe Winger 609 (236-233), Cleve Kameka 590 (208-200), Jarrod Petrany 568 (225), Jon Maillett 529 (184) and Fabio Caporale 193. In the Hi-Way Youth Senior/Intermediate division, the ladies’ noted scores were Kyra Lester 513 (182-179), Lorren Cook 471 (177), Cassandra Tremblay 432 (167) and Taelor Koundakjian 413 (158). In the Hi-Way Youth Junior division, the girls’ main scores were Isadora Tremblay 483 (172), Shayla Crouse 400 (166) and Kaela Koundakjian 399. The boys’ high scores were Ben Lapointe 597 (223), Dalton Crowe 579 (211-203), Domenic Cocozzoli 578 (225) and Devon Crowe 560.

In the Hi-Way Youth Senior Preps division, Katarena Vandeguchte took care of the  girl’s high scores with 328 (127-103). The boys’ top rollers were Cole Barber 503 (182-174) and Nic Peckham 383 (170).

In the Hi-Way Youth Junior Preps division, the girls’ noted scores were Amber Watson 493 (188-160) and MacKayla Beauvais 390. The boys’ upper scores were Chad Crouse 436 (174), William LaFramboise 374 (144), Blake Ingles 317 and Nick Coggins 304.

In the Hi-Way Youth Bantams division, the girls’ top scores were Laurianne Tremblay 214 (79-74), Tyleigh Winger 212 (74), Kyleigh Beauvais Chad 210 (94) and Lily Stinson 188. The boys’ best scores were Bryce Watson 391 (155-134), Ben Boult 245, Zachary Ingles 223 and Jake Coggins 205.

Topping off the boys’ scores in the Marcin SMAA Youth Preps division were Patrick Cullis 409 (145-145) and Ryan Kameka 359 (150). The girls’ high scores were Hollie- Anne Jean 450 (174), Caprice Hill 333 (130), Paige Jean 302 (113) and Abbey Yates-Strangway 113.

In the Marcin SMAA Youth Juniors division, the girls’ best scores were Morgan Pelkie 493 (202), Mikayla Durley 454 (171) and Madison Kehler 374 (149). The boys’ were led by Joshua Trott 507 (179), Branden Riberdy 483 (161-163), Manny Ramos 455 (194), Aiden Osbourne 416 (169), Craig Machan 398 (141), Grant Remes 163 and Maximillian Michelucci 144.

In the Marcin SMAA Youth Senior Bantams division, top bowlers were Braeden Scott 248 (94), Jordan Button 240 (83-81), Noah Gauthier 206 (85), Noah Leclair 203 (88) and Mya Hanley 172 (68).

In the Marcin SMAA Bumpers division, the main bumpers were Cameron Winter 172 (94), Taylor Button 165 (92), Brody Manley 156 (85) and Olivia Quaid 145 (80).
