Sting Lose Early Morning game in Saginaw

The Saginaw Spirit score three goals in the third that gave them the 5 – 2 win over the Sarnia Sting in an early morning Tuesday game in Saginaw.

The game was tied 2 – 2 after two periods of play, Saginaw took a 3 – 2 lead five minutes into the game then added two power play goals.

Brandon Lindberg scored the first goal in the first period on a power play with Anthony DeAngelo and Vladislav Kodola assisting.

Saginaw tied things up in the second on a short handed goal by Eric Locke.  One minute later Dylan Sadoway gave the Spirit the lead.

Jimmy McDowell scored for the Sting late in the period on another power play with Nicolay Goldobin and Anthony DeAngelo assisting.

Third period goals by the Spirit were scored by Kristoff Kontos and Cody Payne who scored the final two power play goals.

In net for the Sting was Justin Fazio who made 30 saves on 35 shots.  Nikita Serbryakov earned the win in net for the Spirit making 22 saves on 24 shots.

The Sting are back in action on Frdiay Mar 7 when they host Sault Ste Marie.  Game time is set for 7:05 at the RBC Centre.
