On Friday night the Braves traveled to Windsor and came home with a 5 - 3 win over the Selects. The Braves took a 2 - 0 lead in the first inning and added singles in the 5th, 6th and 7th. Windsor effort came in the final inning scoring 3 but the Braves held on for the win.
Nick Baljeau went the distance and pitched all seven innings striking out 10, walking 2 allowing 7 hits and 3 runs. James Grant batted 3 singles, Jutin Randal tripled. Randy Thingstad had a single and a double and Jacob Near doubled.
On Sunday the Braves hosted the Windsor Stars where the Stars took a decisive 12 - 1 win over the Braves. The Stars opened the first inning scoring 6 runs added a single in the second inning, 3 more in the 4th and 2 in the final inning. Sarnia's lone run came in 4th inning.
Pitching duties were shared by Anthony Shepherd who pitched 2 innings allowing 7 runs, 4 hits, 5 walks and striking out 1. Next up was Lance Hart pitching for 2 innings allowing 3 runs, 3 hits and 1 walk. Joel Ainsworth pitched for 2 and allowed 2 hits and Jacob Near went in for the final inning allowing 2 runs on 2 hits.
The Braves are back in action on Wednesday May 14 at home at Errol Russell Park when they host the Tecumseh Jrs.
