Point Edward Pacers Jr B Suffer 2 losses

The Point Edward Pacers Jr B Lacrosse team played back to back games over the weekend and suffered losses in both. 

The first game the Pacers hosted the Guelph Royals and were defeated with a final score of 14 - 12.  The Pacers had a 11 - 8 lead heading into the third period but were unable to hold off the Rebels as they scored 6 in the final period and the Pacers added just 1 to their score giving the Rebels their first win of the season.

Connor Smith had a 6 point game with 2 goals and 4 assist. Dan Charlton scored 3 goals and added 2 assists.  Kevin Conroy scored 2 with 3 assists, Corry Burr scored twice with 2 assists. Alex Mayhead scored 1 with 2 assists,  AP Jacob Caughlin and Mitch Burton scored 1. Brandan Burr earned 3 points on 3 assists  and Kevin Durco and AP goalie Brayden Bell each added an assist.  Brayden Bell took the loss stopping 31 of 44 shots.

On Sunday the Pacer's travelled down Hwy 40 for the first game of the home/home series against the Wallaceburg Red Devils and took a beating with a final score of 18 - 5.  Wallaceburg took a 9 - 1 lead after the first period, 14 - 2 lead in the second and finished the game off adding 4 more goals in the third with Point Edward adding 3.

Wallaceburg outshot the Pacers 57 - 39.  Ian Ferguson played 40 minutes making 29 saves on 43 shots on goal. Ferguson was replaced in the third by Reece Landeryou who made 10 saves on 14 shots.

Dan Charlton led the team with 4 points with 2 goals and 2 assists.  Kevin Durco added 2 goals and Connor Smith added one.

The Pacers are now 1 -  8 for the season.  On Wednesday the Pacers host the Red Devils in the second game of the home/home series.  Game time 8:00 pm at Point Edward Arena.
