Matthew and Lapointe Roll Their First 700 Series

            Brent Matthews and Ben Lapointe experienced the thrill and excitement on the lanes this past week as they tossed their career first 700 series at Marcin Bowl in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action.      

           Matthews rolled 716 (232-248-236) in the Border City Men’s League on lanes 23 & 24 ending the night with 182 pins over average for three games.  

           Fifteen year old Ben Lapointe bowled 704 (237-256 - 80 pins over average – 176 pins over average for three games) on lanes 21 & 22 in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to record the week’s youth high triple.

          Steve Lewicki hurled 757 (277-279) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the week’s high triple.

          Roy Mezzatesta fired 739 (268-238-233) in Marcin Border City Men’s League rivalry.         In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League activity, the best scores were Brenda Dennis 507 (193), Sandra Paluch 488, Deb Jones 469 (187), Joy Timington 465 (193), Steph Chambers 461 (170) and Cheryl Millar 180.Team standings are Alley-Oops 27,  Strikers 21, Banana Splitz 18, We’ve Been Framed 13, Pairs And Spares 13 and Head Pins 5.

       In Marcin Monday Morning Ladies League play, the main scores were Lisa Morgan 469 (165), Esther Vandergulik 462 (176), Mary Ann Riley 425 (170) and Val Eggleton 414.

       In Marcin Tuesday Afternoon Mixed League fun, the women’s top scores were Lorraine Boss 502 (189), Julie Beaudoin 458, Sharon Seguin 453 (171) and Laura Paquette 180. The men’s high scores were Richard Murphy 515 (184), Pete Francour 512 (199), Henri Rodrigue 501 (191), Rob Boss 253-246- only bowled 2 games, Bernard St. Denis 194 and Winston Abbott 177.        In Marcin National Farmers Union Mixed League action, the ladies’ were led by Randy Raaymakers 467 and Carol Slaughter 457. The men’s high scores were Joe Simmons 606 (209-208) and Ted Loxton 550 (238).

       In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League activity, the women’s noted scores were Pam Marciniszyn 630 (215-217), Janice McMillan 546 (190), Penny Geerts 543 (190), Marsha Pinel 532 (196), Colleen Baldwin 520 (191), Deb Archer 505, Meghan Monk 188 and Miranda David 186. The men’s top wheelers were Kevin McMillan 642 (236), Kevin Dunn 633 (241-231), Shane Chipman 633 (235), Butch Wilson 583 (221), Tyler David 573 (208) and Brian Moore 537 (222 – 76 pins over average).       In the Marcin SMAA Intermediate/Senior division, the ladies’ top scores were Rachel McGrath 578 (231), Mikayla Durley 390 (142) and Ashley Toulouse 351 (143). The gents’ best scores were Joshua Trott 491 (219), Brian Riberdy 485 (196), Matt Disper 466 (190), Branden Riberdy 421 (154) and Lucas Pawley 416 (153).

      In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girls’ notable scores were Morgan Pelkie 491 (169), Caprice Hill 386 (139) and Rachel Font-Young 385 (150). The boys’ were led by Aiden Osborn 543 (204 – 84 pins over average), Patrick Cullis 429 (159), Jacob Bestard 420 (174) and Maximillian Michelucci 388 (161).

      In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the boys’ main scores were Kole Parkkila 377 (162 – 69 pins over average), Cam Parkkila 353 (140), Ryan Pinel 314 (118), Jaden Gare 287 (121) and Craig Deuning 287. Emily Power with 251 (92) was tops for the girls. 

      In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, the girls’ top scores were Mya Hanley 224 (88), Olivia Quaid 170 (62) and Cecelia Rochon 113 (48). The boys’ high rollers were Taylor Button 154 (60) and Brody Manley 145 (53).
