Sarnia Lady Sting Midget A Tied in Strathroy

The Sarnia Lady Sting travelled to Strathroy on Wednesday night to take on the weather and the Bluewater Hawks Midget A team.

The Lady Sting needing points in league play came out strong in the first period, and had several scoring chances on the first couple of shifts.
Mid-way thru the first period, the Lady Sting would open the scoring with a solid shot from the blueline by Lyndsey Osler assisted by Aleah Boersma.

The Lady Sting would take the lead into the 3rd period, when the Hawks would tie the game on a deflected puck which trickled passed the goal line.

Both teams had scoring opportunities to take the lead in the final period, especially Teighan MacNiell who rang one off the post with less than 30 seconds to go. Ashley Norland had a solid game in net for the Sting to secure the tie.
