Lambton Men Come From Behind in Home Opener Win
thursday october 30, 2014

The Lambton Men
got off to a slow start in their
home opener on Wednesday as they
were trailing 34-26 at the half
but bounced back and went on and
defeated Fanshawe 75-62.
"We played a pretty scared first
half," says Coach James Grant of
the Lions who trailed by eight
heading into the break.
"We made some adjustments during
the half time talk and came out
strong. The third quarter was
our best of the year, by far."
#3 Jason Marshall
was the top point scorer for
Lambton scoring 30 points that
included five three pointers.
Bradon Padgett scored 19 and
Lambton's top scorer Mike Lucier
scored 15.
"A credit to our guys for not
giving in against a tough
Fanshawe defense for the entire
game. That is what it's going to
take to win. Every trip we need
to move the ball, trust each
other, and get back on defence.
We did that in the second half
today and it worked out."
Chris Stanhope
was the leading scorer for
Fanshawe with 33 points.
The men are now 2
- 1 for the season.
The Lambton teams
are back in action on Sunday
November 9 when they host Humber
College. Women's game is
set to begin at 1:00 pm and the
Men at 3:00 pm.
