Creasor, Crowe, Rogers and Mezzatesta Are Week’s Top Bowlers

               Jim Creasor, Melissa Crowe, George Rogers and Roy Mezzatesta all had success on the alleys this week in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action.

          Creasor wheeled 784 (260-278-246) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the men’s high triple.

         Crowe rolled 740 (225-258-257) in the Tuesday Night Ladies League at Marcin Bowl.

          Rogers, who celebrated his 74th birthday this year, fired a perfect game in the Sunday Morning Men’s League at Marcin Bowl.  It was the 2nd perfect game in the LCTA in this early part of the bowling season. It was Rogers’s career 8th perfect game. He accomplished the feat in his second game on lanes 17 & 18.

         Mezzatesta defeated Jim Creasor 214-204 in the final game to win Marcin Bowl Shoot Out One. Twenty four bowlers participated in the tournament played on the PBA difficult Cheetah oil pattern.  The top eight bowlers who entered match play competition were Steve Lewicki 653 (211-265), George Reid 610 (211-217), Kyle Adamson 604 (210-222), Neil Sinclair 594 (229), Brad Cook 578 (200), Glenn Crowe 554 (218), Jim Creasor 541 and Roy Mezzatesta 529.                

          Jordan Cote tossed 754 (221-267-266) in Marcin 1046 Mixed League action. He was trailed by  Larry Plumb 637 (214-217), Joe Borody 630 (223), Todd Amerlinck 204 and Brian Core 203.The ladies’ noted scores were Kaye Brander 564 (205), Colleen Grant 461 (193 -72 pins above average) and Kristen Robertson  453 (170). 

           Roy Mezzatesta hurled 729 (258-267) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League rivalry. He was pursued by Ralph MacDuff 698 (236-248), Jerry Worsley 690 (247-239), Larry Plumb 680 (246), Dennis Ramsay 676 (246-236), Adam Pinel 671 (266-234), Johnny Wilkinson 669 (267), Kevin Schofield 658 (245), Jordan Cote 655, George Reid 654 (243), Stephane Sirois 258, Brad Cook 248, Buck McIver 246, Rob Lariviere 238, Jeff Raymond 238, Andre Dion 236,  Ian Fraser 235, Dave Willson 233, Alex Matena 233, Bill Croskery 232 and Justin Romanik 229. He was tailed by Shawn Cotterill 704 (259-233), Larry Plumb 666 (247), Jim Lapointe 660 (251), Ryan Skinner 658 (232-230), Tony Spano 248 (228), Alex Matena 648 (265 – 98 pins over average), Louie Willemsen 238, Jordan Cote 232, Victor Horvath 225 and Dave Giles 214 – 77 pins over average.               In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League fun, the men’s upper scores were Joe Bourgeois 662 (227-236), Jerry Brody 507 and Grady Vickery 176. The ladies’ notable scores were Denise Walker 537 (190), Tonie Verbeek 523 (201) and Nicole Johnson 471 (173).

            In Marcin Triple A Mixed League action, the women’s top scores were Susan McGrath 600 (223), Rachel McGrath 565 (214), Sondra Callum 543 (213), Kelly Hyatt 536 (214), Shelley Thompson 524 (182) and Maggie Vandermeer 487 (177). The men’s high rollers were Rolly LeBlanc 603 (215), Henri LeBelle 572 (256 – 85 pins over average), Andre Moreault 568 (240 - 96 pins over average), Roy Baker 203 and Eugene O’Connell 202.              In Hi-Way Target Trio Mixed League fun, the ladies’ noted scores were Dara Sinclair 612 (193-215-204), Kaye Brander 540, Sue Potvin 210 and Kim Howsam 195. The men’s top scores were Neil Sinclair 598, Jeff Wickens 232 and Ty Patterson 232.

            In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League action, the women’s best scores were Jo Ellen Beveridge 570 (222-196), Cid Bearhart 523, Barb Shipley 499 (196) and Lana White 182. The men’s main scores were Greg Gray 611 (247), Brad George 605 (203-234) and Angie Delassandro 533 (212).

           In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League activity, leading scores were Brenda Dennis 597 (234-210), Deb Jones 497, Beth Scott 482 (178), Yvonne Knight 476 (182), Jitsche Johnson 173 and Cheryl Millar 170. Team standings are Alley-Oops 18, Strikers 15, Banana Splitz 9, Bi-Polar Rollers 8, We’ve Been Framed 7 and Head Pins 4.  

          In Marcin Friday Night Mixed League play, the ladies’ upper scores were Barb Montgomery 491 (192), Barbara Heckley 459 (172), Marnie McQueen 427 and Janet Vandeguchte 160. The men’s top scores were Marcel Lajoie 581 (201), Dave Little 552 (207) and Ken Hearns 534 (200).           In Airey Lanes Thursday Ladies Happy Hour League fun from last week, high scores were Carrie Wood 467 (179), Karen Corr 421 (187) and Ada Brown 421 (158). This week’s best scores were Lee Classen 479 (179-164) and Ada Brown 474 (166-162). Team standings are Donkey Kong’s 36, Cow Patti’s 30, Rocking Horse 28, Lamb Chops 26, “Hot” Dog 26 and Ditch Pig 22.

          In the Marcin SMAA Intermediate/Senior division, the ladies’ best scores were Rachel McGrath 536 (194), Mikayla Durley 420 (167) and Nicole Emery 400. On the gent’s side the main scores were Joshua Trott 594 (227), Matt Disper 481 (189), Colin Hanley 461, Brian Riberdy 457 and Dawson Yates Strangway 438 (191 – 60 pins over average).

          In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girls’ top scores were Morgan Pelkie 454, Rachel Font-Young 378 (136), Caprice Hill 371 (148) and Madison Kehler 353 (139). The boys’ noted scores were Manny Ramos 445 (155), Ethan Boucher 437 (178) and Jacob Bestard 434 (173).

          In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, leading scores were Jordan Button 336 (124), Emily Power 314 (107), Noah LeClair 304 (151 – 75 pins over average), Noah Gauthier 302 (123), Craig Deuning 300 (126), Patrick Gray 117 and Kole Parkkila 110.

          In the Marcin SMAA Bantams division, noted scores were Mya Hanley 206 (74), Olivia Quaid 139 (75), Taylor Button 138, Brody Manley 138 (55) and Cecelia Rochon 106.
