The Sarnia Lady Sting Atom B
team had an outstanding
performance at the Etobicoke
Dolphins Pink the Rink
Tournament on the weekend.
After shutting out five
opponents heading to the final
the Ladies suffered their first
loss and brought home silver,
In the first game the Lady Sting
defeated North Bay 8 – 0.
Teagan Cox led Sarnia scoring
three goals for a hat trick.
Page Vidler, Makayla Barclay,
Kaitlyn Handy, Tessa Jackson and
Lauren Jackson scored singles.
Assisting on goals were Ella
Jackson (3), Cadence MacDonald
(2), Teagan Cox (2), Felicia
Park (2), Abigail Armitage (2),
Heather McIntosh, Kaitlyn Handy,
Paige Vidler, Robyn Storey and
Kiara MacDonald with one each.
Game two saw the Ladies defeat
North York Storm 4 – 0. Lauren
Jackson scored two goals in the
win and singles by Makayla
Barclay and Teagan Cox. Sarah
Garner and Paige Vidler earned
extra points assisting on the
goals.
Another solid 9 – 0 win over the
Brampton Canadettes gave Sarnia
their third win. Makayla
Barclay scored a hat trick in
the win and Ella Jackson and
Lauren Jackson each scored two.
Rounding out the scoring were
Teagan Cox and Cadence MacDonald
with singles.
Earning points in this game with
assists were Robyn Storey (4),
Makayla Barclay (3), Kiara
MacDonald (2), Teagan Cox, Paige
Vidler, Felicia Park and Lauren
Jackson.
In the quarter final game Sarnia
added their fourth shutout win
downing the Vaughn Flames 11 –
0.
Lauren Jackson was on top of her
game scoring five goals and
adding an assist. Robyn Storey
added two goals and three
assists and Paige Vidler scored
two goals and earned an assist.
Teagan Cox scored one and
assisted on two. Makayla Barclay
had a five point game with a
single goal and four assists and
Ella Jackson and Kaitlyn Handy
each earned assisted on one.
Semi Final the Ladies earned
their fifth shut out win taking
a 6 – 0 win over the Ancaster
Avalanche.
Ella Jackson and Lauren Jackson
each scored two in the game
along with singles by Heather
McIntosh and Paige Vidler.
Teagan Cox assisted on three
goals and Tessa Jackson and
Paige Vidler assisted on one.
All of the shutouts were due to
great team defence, hard back
checking forwards and timely
goaltending by Peyton Burgess
who played in all six games.

In the finals the girls were
defeated by the Sault Ste. Marie
Wildcats who also went
undefeated in round robin.
Sarnia lost with a final score
of 4-0.
The Atoms are back in regular
league action on Saturday
October 25th when
they host the Chatham Outlaws at
1:00 pm at the RBC Centre. This
will be the first meeting of the
two teams.
