Lambton College Lions
basketball opened their
season on the road in
Windsor against the St.
Clair College Saints.
In the men's opener the
Lions took a disappointing
80 - 78 loss. At
the half the Lions led 42 -
39. Lambton built a 78
- 69 lead late in the second
but the Saints came back and
scored 8 consecutive points
to take the lead for the
first time in the game.
Lambton tied things up but
the Saints scored the final
2 points to take the win.
Forest native Mike Lucier
led in points in the game
scoring 30 with 20 points
scored in the first half.
Brandon Padgett (China
Township, USA) and Shawn
Hill (Brantford) each added
16 points.
In the girls opener the
Saints downed the Lions by a
score of 71 - 49. St.
Clair led 33 - 21 at the
half and went on and
finished strong.
Riley Williams scored 16
points for the Lions, Amanda
Orr scored 15 and Melissa
Ellis added 9 points.
All three players are from
Sarnia.
The Lambton Lions are back
on the road on Sunday
October 26 when they travel
to Niagara. Lions home
opener is set for Wednesday
October 29 against Fanshawe
College.
