The Lambton Jr. Sting
Minor Bantam AAA played
two home games on the
weekend and lost both
games in Alliance League
hockey action.
In their first team the team went up against Sun County and suffered a 5 -
1 loss.
The team had a solid
first period but missed
defensive assignments
led to many odd man
rushes in the second and
third resulting in the
loss.
Liam Madill scored the
Jr. Sting goal with Kyle
Kachan drawing the lone
assist.
On Sunday the Jr. Sting
lost a heartbreaker 3 -
2 to the Windsor
Spitfires. With just
under 6 minutes
remaining in the third
period Lambton tied the
game at 2 on the power
play goal from Jack
Cronk goal only to see
Windsor get the game
winner with 30 seconds
remaining in the
contest. Hunter
Monkhouse had the other
Lambton goal.
Next weekend the Minor
Bantams will compete at
the 2014 Alliance Hockey
AAA Face Offs being held
in Cambridge..
All competing Minor
Bantam AAA teams will
compete in this showcase
in league games
throughout the weekend
and all results will
contribute to regular
season standings.
