On Thursday, the Jr. Vikings
started things off early
when Gabe Barnes took the
opening kickoff back 75
yards for a touchdown. He
then converted the extra
point. Josh Clubb added the
next Vikings major at the
10:00 minute mark of the
first quarter with a
quarterback keeper from 25
yards out. Barnes added the
extra point. After several
defensive stops by the
Vikings, Josh Labelle-Voisey
scampered into the endzone
from 10 yards out for a
Vikings touchdown. The
extra point attempt sailed
wide, and the score was
20-0.
The Vikings struck first in
the 2nd quarter when Gabe
Barnes took a handoff and
ran the ball 50 yards into
the endzone. He made good
with the extra point. In
the closing minutes of the
half, Josh Labelle-Voisey
took a handoff, broke
several tackles and tore
into the endzone from 40
yards out. Barnes converted
the extra point. Noah
McLean made several key
plays in the first half to
keep the Lancers off the
board.
The score was 33-0 for the
Jr. Vikings at the half.
The Lancers got on the board
in the 2nd half with a long
drive that ended with a
touchdown and a point
after. In the closing
minute of the quarter, Aden
Alkinani returned a Lancer
punt the length of the field
for a touchdown. The
convert attempt was wide.
The Lancers scored on the
last play of the game and
added the extra point.

Vikings 39, Lancers 14.
