Sarnia Legionnaires Awards Night

The Sarnia
Legionnaires put the finishing
touches on the 2014 - 2015
season with their annual awards
banquet held at the Sarnia
Legion Br. 62 Friday night.
Nathan Mater and
Tyler Prong each were award with
two awards. Mater was
presented the Peoples Choice
Award and Prong reseceived the
Best Defenceman Award and both
players shared the Most Valuable
Player.
Davis Boyer took
the Team Leading Scorer. Boyer
earned 73 points for
scoring 29 goals and 44 assist
in the season. Hayden Allen was
presented the Spirit Award and
Jordan Fogarty was given the
Most Dedicated Player Award.
Brandon Layman earned the Most
Improved Player and the
Outstanding Playoff Performer
was shared by Ryan Trottier and
Andrew Masters and the Rookie of
the Year was presented to
Cameron Clarke.
Vice President
Theo Bet praised the Jr. B Club
recognized that the Legionnaires
has over 60 volunteers who help
run the club and each year.
And being recognized for their
volunteering were Mary Anderson
and Jessie Cahill sharing the
Volunteers of the Year Award.
President Tom
Knight concluded the evening
with praised to all volunteers.
"Your presence in the room is
outstanding, no other Jr B
hockey team can do this."
Knight also thank the coaches
for all their interest and for
coming back. "I'm very pleased
that Mark Davis has come on
board. I can guarantee you
one thing the fun is going to be
back in the Sarnia Arena, I
can't wait! "
