The Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting Bantam C Hockey Team captured the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League (WOGHL) Bantam B/C Playoff Championship on Apr. 2 in St. Thomas in Game 2 of the best 2 out of 3 series.

In Game 1, played on March 30, the Lady Sting defeated the St. Thomas Panthers Bantam B team 2-1 in a fast, very exciting, back and forth game.
Scoring for Sarnia with a hot hand was Angie Aliperti who notched both goals.

Game 2 on April 2, played in St. Thomas, was a continuation of the fast pace of Game 1 with many scoring chances and excellent saves. With the Lady Sting on the Power Play and under four minutes left in a 0-0 tie, Angie Aliperti, again with the hot hand found the back of the net with an accurate wrist shot to make it 1-0.

With the St. Thomas net empty for the extra attacker, Holly Moraal, the Lady Sting goalie, made an incredible diving save to preserve the shutout for a 1-0 victory.

The Lady Sting Bantam C team have enjoyed a very successful season to date with two tournament wins and a tournament bronze. Next on the schedule is the Provincial Tournament in Toronto April 10-12.
