“We want to turn the United Way,
Black & White Game into a
kick-off celebration of the new
ownership of the Sarnia Sting.
We’re really building off the
last two games of last season,
when the building was just
rocking. We’d like to see a
really good crowd out there on
September 2nd to say ‘Welcome to
Sarnia.’”
Admission is free of charge for
the annual Black and White game
with proceeds from the 50/50
draw, Jersey raffle, and lineup
sheet sales going back to the
United Way.
Executive Director, Dave Brown
comments on behalf of the United
Way regarding the partnership,
“The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club
has been a long time, valued
partner of the United Way of
Sarnia-Lambton. We are very
grateful to the previous
ownership group, and look
forward to working with new
ownership to grow our
relationship even more.”
Sarnia Sting co-owner, Derian
Hatcher is excited about their
[his and David’s] first full
season in Sarnia. “I think it’s
definitely a great way to kick
things off. The Annual Black &
White game is one of the most
long standing traditions of the
Sarnia Sting and both, David and
myself are looking forward to
continuing that tradition.”
