Sarnia Boys Silver Stick Atom-Midget Champions

Sarnia Silver Stick Champions were decided on Sunday afternoon after a weekend of hockey beginning on Friday with games played on seven ice pads that included RBC 1 & 2, Clearwater Red & Blue, Sarnia Arena, Germain Arena and at the Point Edward Arena.


Uxbridge Stars
Atom A Champions

In the Atom A Division the Uxbridge Stars edged out Krivo Hockey 3 - 2 to take home the coveted silver stick pin.  It was the second time these two teams met where Krivo took a 4 - 1 win in their first meeting. Uxbridge went on and defeated Palmyra Black Knights 10 - 0, Mooretown Jr. Flags 7 -3, Essex Ravens 2 - 0 and the Oakville Rangers 3 - 2.


Montgomery Blue Devils
Atom AA Champions

The Montgomery Blue Devils took a solid 5 - 1 win over Central Connecticut in the Atom AA division final. The Blue Devils went undefeated with a 5 - 0 win over the Pittsburgh Wildcats, 6 - 0 against the Novi Ice Cats, 8 - 1 against Guelph Gryphons and a 4 - 1 win over Don Mills Mustangs.


Little Caesars
Atom AAA Champions

A dominant Little Caesars team took the Atom AAA title shutting out the Ottawa Sting 8 - 0 for the Championship title.  Leading to the final Little Caesars edged out the Toronto Titans 5 - 4, took a 7 - 1 win over Elgin Middlesex Chiefs, shut out the local Lambton Jr. Sting 8 - 0 and defeated the Oakville Rangers 7 - 5.  In the semi final game they met the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs for a second meeting and came out on top with a 7 - 5 win.


Toronto Avalanche
Midget A Champions

In the Midget A division the Toronto Avalanche came from behind to knock out the local favourites Sarnia Jr. Sting 4 - 3.  Drawing to the final Toronto was undefeated with a 6 - 4 over Grimsby Peach Kings, 3 - 1 win over Bear Mountain, 4 - 1 win against Hershey Bears and in another close win in the semi's the Avalanche defeated Brampton 45's 4 - 3.


Aurora Tigers
Midget AA Champions

In another close final the Aurora Tigers took a narrow 4 - 3 win over the Markham Islanders to earn the Midget AA division title.  Markham won all games leading to the finals.  In their first game they defeated Freeport Arrows 5 - 3 then went on a shut out the Golden State Eagles 3 - 0. In the third it was another close win after edging out the Gulf Coast Flames 3 - 2 and in the semi's the Islanders defeated Upper Ottawa Valley 4 - 1.


Windsor Jr. Spitfires
Midget AAA Champions

In the final game of the day the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Midget AAA team went 4-0-1 leading up to the final where they took a 6 - 3 win over the Michigan Nationals. Windsor defeated the London Jr. Knights, their league rivals in the Alliance Hockey League 4 - 1.  They went on and shut out Shattuck St. Marys 5 - 0, defeated Halton Hurricanes 4 - 2 and tied Brampton 45's 2 - 2.  In the semi-final Windsor earned a spot in the final after defeating Little Caesars 5 - 2.
