Matena Rolls First 700 Series; Mezzatesta and Marciniszyn Toss Top Triples

           Alex Matena, Roy Mezzatesta and Pam Marciniszyn are the top keglers in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this past week at Marcin Bowl.

            Matena wheeled 724 (235-248-241 – 166 pins over average for three games) in the Thursday Night Men’s League to record his first  700 triple.

            Mezzatesta fired 746 (277-279) in the Sunday Morning Men’s League to post the high triple of the week.

            Marciniszyn rolled 710 (238-248-224) in the Thursday Night Mixed League to register the ladies high triple of the week.

           Butch Wilson recorded 727 (236-258-233) in Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League action. He was pursued by  Lloyd Walling 693 (289 – 91 pins over average – 232), Pat McMillan 646 (245), Adam Pinel 639 (237), Buck McIver 588 (235), Tyler David 586, John Kelley 583 (245), Kevin Dunn 567 (222), Al McChesney 563, Butch Goodacre 557 (223), Scott David 550 (206), Kevin McMillan 221, Steve Brain 212 and Bob Vance 206.          In the Marcin SMAA Intermediate/Senior division, the ladies’ high scores were Rachel McGrath 555 (233 – 50 pins over average) and Mikayla Durley 379 (143). The gents’ noted scores were Joshua Trott 552 (222 – 57 pins over average), Brian Riberdy 516 (212 – 51 pins over average), Branden Riberdy 472 (187), Lucas Pawley 467 (188 – 54 pins over average), Craig Machan 410 (145) and Quincy VanEkeren 211.

          In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girls’ best scores were Morgan Pelkie 540 (207), Hollie-Anne Jean 361 (132), Jordan Eaton 341 (143), Madison Kehler 340 and Abbey Yates Strangway 337 (130). The boys’ main scores were Jacob Bestard 474 (172), Maximillian 432 (180 – 58 pins over average), Aiden Osborn 153, Patrick Cullis 151 and Grant Remes 140.
