Alvinston Indians defeat Shedden Force Monday

The Alvinston Indians defeated the Shedden Force on Monday with a final score of 10-2

Shedden jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Shedden got things going when Gary Cooke singled. A single by Mike Unwin then moved Cooke from first to second. Jeff Macpherson doubled, plating Cooke and Unwin

The Indians would tie the game with single runs In the third and fourth innings on RBI doubles by Craig Lyons and Brad Cooper.

Adam Woon helped the Alvinston Indians take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Ryan Chapman singled to start the inning. He then went from first to second on a single by Cooper. Woon would single scoring chapman from second to give the Indians their first lead.

Cooper reached base three times in the game for the Alvinston Indians. He scored one run and had one RBI.

Kyle Crawford allowed two runs over seven innings, struck out 12, walked none and gave up five hits.

Scott Lovell took the loss. He allowed eight runs in seven innings, walked four and struck out three
