Carson & Recor Win Fairwinds Lodge Lawn Bowling Tourney

The first strictly in-club tournament of the season drew an excellent turnout of 40 Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club members to compete in the Fairwinds Lodge pairs tournament on June 25.

When the final bowls came to rest, Burke Carson and Charlene Recor were tops among the 20 teams participating, and received the first-place prize money from Jeff Rikley of Fairwinds Lodge. Finishing second were Gord McKay and Helen Carson, while Blake McKay and Mike Stoner took third.

New bowlers are always welcome at regular weekly club jitneys on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:15 p.m. at the lawn bowling greens in Germain Park.
