Vandermeer Rolls 734 Triple; The "Mezz" Wins Again

Bowling Scores for Week of March 7

 

            Rob Vandermeer and Roy Mezzatesta were the top bowlers in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this past week.

             Vandermeer rolled 734 (245-234-255) in the Triple A Mixed League at Marcin Bowl to record the high triple of the week.

             Mezzatesta won Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Six defeating Neil Sinclair in a very low scoring final game 169-149. It was his third victory in the Shoot Outs this season. Thirty-three bowlers participated in the tournament which took place on an extremely difficult oil pattern called the “spray bottle”. The top sixteen bowlers to qualify for match play competition were Steve Lewicki 580 (204-222), Roy Mezzatesta 572 (209), Neil Sinclair 560 (217), Jim Creasor 544 (217), Jim Lapointe 544 (206), Melissa Crowe 540 (228),  Jordan Croskery 514 (207), Ben Lapointe 514, Dara Sinclair 509 (203), Jeff Raymond 508, Mel Kongus 507 (209), Kevin McMillan 506, Alex Pak 505, Adam Pinel 504, Corey Willemsen 500 and Rod Honke 498. Doug Black was on the top position below the cut line with 480.

            SMAA Junior bowler Grant Remes carrying a 118 average tossed 451 (215 – 97 pins over average).

              Shane Chipman tossed 721 (236-239-246) in Marcin Border City Men’s League combat. He was followed by Rod Honke 707 (260), Roy Mezzatesta 695 (265-244), Stephane Sirois 665 (247-230), Mel Kongus 645, Dan Chopp 636, Dave Jones 627 (244), Dean Troiani 627 (269), Kevin Matthews 624 (238), Rob Vandermeer 621 (231), Brian Potvin 235  and  Dave LeClair 232.              In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League fun, the men’s notable scores were Tyler David 693 (242-258), Kevin McMillan 686 (268), Adam Pinel 642 (246-217), Lloyd Walling 625 (234), Buck McIver 614 (233), Al McChesney 598, Pat McMillan 223, Shane Chipman 220, Nic Breuer 214  and Steve Brain 212.  The women’s high scores were Pam Marciniszyn 647 (247), Janice McMillan 534 (234), Colleen Baldwin 524, Marsha Pinel 522 (210), Cynthia Vance 188 and Nicole Wilson 178.             Topping off the men’s scores from the Triple A Mixed League were Roger Croteau 663 (245), Quincy VanEkeren 608 (237), Joe Csercsics 599 (228), Ken Nimmo 592 (236), John Lynett 567 (222), Bill Austin 565 (219), Ernie Anderson 227 and Hector Babin 211.            In Hi-Way Target Trios Mixed League action, the best scores were Ty Patterson 631 (234-213), Joe Judson 223 and Dara Sinclair 212-201.            In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League activity, the women’s best scores were Cid Bearhart 562 (195-196), Shirley Oliver 446 (187) and Julie Young 442 (181). The men’s high scores were Greg Gray 609 (258), Brad George 558, Bill Smith 200, John Adams 188 and Harrison Plain 183.

           In Marcin Friday Night Mixed League action, the men were led by Bob Laframboise 583 (224), Marcel Lajoie 549 (213), Ray Lucas 522 (200), Jason Armitage 519 (202) and Dave Little 517 (210). The ladies’ main scores were Annette Urban 493 (215), Sue Glassford 454 (185), Denise Thomas 451, Marnie McQueen 449, Marilyn Mullen 446, Amanda VanGrimberghe 443 (174) and Bonnie VanGrimberghe 443. Team standings are Banana Splitz 57, We’ve Been Frames 56, Strikers 54, Alley-Oops 52, Pairs And Spares 45 and Head Pins 44.

           In Airey Lanes Thursday Ladies Happy Hour League activity, leading scores from a makeup week were Pat Morrow 441 (158), Adwina Whitsitt 430, Diane Barnes 414 (157) and Ashley Corr 154. The best scores this week were Ada Brown 466, Lori Japp 454 (174), Karen Corr 439 (179) and Kathy Donahue 180. Team standings are “Hot Dog” 129, Donkey Kong’s 123, Ditch Pig 111, Lamb Chops 110, Cow Patti’s 102 and Rocking Horse 97.

            In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League play, the ladies’ high scores were Tonie Verbeek 487 (202), Denise Walker 462 (176) and Kristine Veenstra 452 (160-165 – 116 pins over average for three games). The men’s best scores were Joe Bourgeois 549 (197), Richard Murphy 524 (179), Bill Pitkin 509 (197), Albert Verbeek 493 (178) and Cleve Kameka 193.     

            In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Senior division, top scores were Connor Smith 555 (213), Alex Pak 547 (212) and Brett Zevenbergen 507 (195).    

          In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Intermediate division, the ladies’ main scores were Kyra Lester 518 (204) and Kira Pelkie 500 (177-177). On the gents’ side, leading scores were Ben Lapointe 545 (184-187), Colton Smith 493 (173), Christopher White 394 and Cameron Verberg-Buchan 374.

          In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Junior division, the boys’ noted scores were Domenic Cocozzoli 591 (235), Nick Lapointe 529 (190), Devon Crowe 523 (217) and Noah Best 194. The girls’ upper scores were Shayla Crouse 448 (164), Isadora Tremblay 439 (152), Paisley Wood 368 and Amber Watson 362 (148).

          In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Senior Preps division, top scores were Jarod Pelkie 404 (141-140), Chad Crouse 351 (126) and Bryce Watson 338 (126).

          In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Junior Preps division, the girls’ high scores were Lyndsay Amerlinck 282 (111-93) and Laurianne Tremblay 238 (85-81). The boys’ main scores were Gavin Baillie 395 (136-134), Blake Ingles 371 (136-136), William LaFramboise 325 and Joe Stinson 313 (134).

          In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Bantams division, the girls’ best scores were Elsa McKinley 299 (105-100), Kyleigh Beauvais Chad 279 (120), Tyleigh Winger 223 and Shaylyn Blake 213. The boys’ top rollers were Alex Majeski 289 (123), Zachary Ingles 246 (87), Alex Bourassa 236 (96) and Samuel Schuyler 172.   

          In the Marcin SMAA Senior/Intermediate division, the main wheelers were Quincy VanEkeren 610 (225-213), Brian Riberdy 570 (212-210), Joshua Trott 466 (193), Branden Riberdy 460 (178), Lucas Pawley 424 (171) and Craig Machan 423 (173).

           In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girls’ were led by Morgan Pelkie 500 (291), Holli-Anne Jean 441 (160), Abbey Yates-Strangway 338 (130) and Caprice Hill 327 (141). The boys’ notable scores were Jacob Bestard 546 (196-181 – 120 pins over average for three games), Ethan Boucher 489 (178) and Patrick Cullis 488 (180-180).

          In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girls’ top scores were Emily Power 370 (128-127) and Skylar Thompson 264 (100). The boys’ main hurlers were Joey Windover 376 (132-131), Cam Parkkila 372 (126-129), Ryan Pinel 372 (147), Jaden Gare 355 (144), Jordan Button 338, Noah Gauthier 311 (118) and Noah LeClair 103.

          In the Marcin SMAA Senior Preps division, the girls’ best scores were Cecelia Rochon 305 (124 – 67 pins over average), Mya Hanley 246 (90) and Olivia Quaid 188 (82). The boys’ noted bowlers were Brody Manley 264 (107), Koby Brace 196 (78), Taylor Button 180 (65) and Nathan LeClair 120 (58).
