WOSA Short Course Regional Championship Results

The competition was strong at the recent WOSA Regional Championships, but the Sarnia Rapids swimmers proved themselves capable yet again.

Shona Branton (12) earned three gold medals in 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke.  Maddisson Hawryluk (11) won two golds in 50m and 200m Breaststroke and a silver medal in the 100m Breaststroke.  Danielle Adams (16) was also a gold medal winner in the 400m Freestyle.

Austin Adams (14) was a double silver medalist in the 400m and 800m Freestyle.  He also achieved a bronze medal for the 200m Freestyle.  Jack Girardi (10) won a silver medal for the 50m Freestyle, a bronze medal for the 50m Backstroke and became a Festival qualifier in the 100m Backstroke. Bethany Robinson (17) won a silver medal for the 200m IM and qualified for the Speedo Eastern Championships with this race.

Maude Boily-Dufour (14) achieved a bronze medal in the 200 IM and through this finish earned a spot at the upcoming provincial level swim meet.  Samuel Boily-Dufour (16) achieved a bronze medal for the 50m Backstroke and a berth at the provincial meet as well.   In addition, Kayla Marshall (11) became a Festival qualifier for her finish in the 100m Backstroke.
