Lapointe, Marciniszyn, Lapointe and Blake are Week's Top Bowlers

Bowling Scores for Week of March 21

 

Jim Lapointe, Pam Marciniszyn, Ben Lapointe and Shaylyn Blake 
are the top bowlers in the Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling report this week.

         Lapointe fired 772 (259-290) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the high triple of the week. 

        Marciniszyn tossed 712 (231-254-227) in the Thursday Night Mixed League at Marcin Bowl to record the ladies high triple of the week.

        Ben Lapointe won the B division in the March Youth Bowling Tour Tournament held at Woodlawn Bowl in Guelph. He defeated 24 other bowlers on the World Tenpin Bowling Association “ London” oil pattern, winning the final match play game 190-162.  

      Shaylynn Blake was the winner of the Youth Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Handicap Tournament as she defeated Cam Parkkila in the final game. Eighteen brave bowlers participated in the tournament trying their luck on the sport shot “Badger” oil lane conditions. The top eight bowlers who entered match play competition were Shaylyn Blake 734, Hollie-Anne Jean 715, Riley Wagner 708, Cam Parkkila 698, Tyleigh Winger 688, William LaFramboise 679, Ryan Pinel 662 and Blake Ingles 646. Mikayla Durley was at the top position below the cut line with 631. Domenic Cocozzoli (200) was the only bowler to roll a 200 plus game. The top four match play winners received gift certificates for Marcin Bowl Pro Shop to purchase bowling equipment to improve their game.   

         Roy Mezzatesta is the defending champion of Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Six. He will be the bowler to beat in Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Seven which will take place on Tuesday April 7th at 6:30.

        Dennis Ramsay bowled 740 (266-247) in Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League competition. He was followed by Peter English 708 (277 – 75 pins over average), Jean Guy Morin 707 (252-243), Chris Luke 703 (253), Mark McCarthy 700 (239-245), Billy Best 691 (241-247), Kyle Adamson 683 (233), Jeff Chortos 670 (237-230), Mike Marciniszyn 660 (248), Pat Lacasse 257, Ben Lapointe 246, Doug Brooks 243, Brian Core 237,  Randy McEachern 235, Shawn Park 234, Al Scott 234 and Paul Syrie 234 - 81 pins over average.         In Marcin Tuesday  Night Ladies league action, leading scores were Laura Robertson 651 (224-246), Dawn Pelkie 628 (247), Melissa Crowe 562 (201), Janice McMillan 557 (194), Jocelyn VanEkeren 539 (187), Shirley Matthews 537 (194), Diane Willemsen 513 (180), Carol Jean 192, Bailey Ettinger 192, Wendy Lapointe 181 and Patti Wyville 181.        In Marcin Sarnia Reserve Mixed League  fun, the men’s top scores were Darren Adams 651 (236-218), Greg Gray 625 (212-225), Brad George 548 (212), John Adams 531 (190-195), Mike Young 487 and  Harrison Plain 195. The women’s   high scores were Cid Bearhart 490 (180-181), Tina White 471, Lana White 465, Julie Young 448 (170) and Annette George 421.

       In Marcin Friday Night Mixed League action, the men’s noted scores were Ray Lucas 640 (214-256 – 83 pins over average),  Paul Heckley 589 (227-205), Dave Urban 562 (209), Ken Hearns 505, Hamba Hambafeh 489 (181), Bob Laframboise 203 and Bill Warner 202. The ladies’ best scores were Barb Montgomery 483 (184), Sue Sorensen 477 (182), Barbara Heckley 467, Mary Hearns 442 (193) and Christine Mater  165 – 61 pins over average. The women’s main scores were Lise Patterson 479 (178), Julie Beaudoin 439, Lynn Levi 427 and Lorraine Boss 190. Team standings are Big Dipper 127, Sun 102, Little Dipper 98, Moon 94, Milky Way 90, Earth 90, Saturn 79 and Pluto 77.

         In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League activity, leading scores were Joy Timington 503 (179), Sandra Paluch 491 (177), Lorene Oaks 476, Shirley Stark 454 (184), Brenda Dennis 188 and Beth Scott 182. Team standings are Banana Splitz 62, We’ve Been Framed 59, Alley-Oops 58, Strikers 57, Pairs And Spares 48 and Head Pins 48.

        In Airey Lanes Thursday Ladies Happy Hour League fun, top scores from last week were Lee Classen 491 (197), Adwina Whitsitt 470 (178) and Luisa Sharpe 425 (181). This week the high scores were Ada Brown 463 (173), Adwina Whitsitt  436 (174), Ashley Corr 434 and Diane Ross 166. Final league standings are “Hot Dog” 143, Donkey Kong’s 137, Lamb Chops 128, Cow Patti’s 126, Ditch Pig 119 and Rocking Horse 115.

         In the Marcin SMAA Intermediate/Senior division, top scores were Quincy VanEkeren 591 (210-199), Branden Riberdy 473 (179) and Dawson Yates-Strangway 186 – 65 pins over average.

         In the Marcin SMAA Juniors division, the girls’ upper scores were Morgan Pelkie 549 (199), Hollie-Anne Jean 404 (165), Madison Kehler 391 (150) and Caprice Hill 375.The boys’ noted scores were Patrick Cullis 530 (187- 192 – 57 pins over average and 125 pins over average for three games), Jacob Bestard 492 (182), Ethan Boucher 475 (165) and Aiden Osborn 474 (176).

          In the Marcin SMAA Preps division, the girls’ high scores were Emily Power 296 (107) and Skylar Thompson 277 (104). On the boys’ side, leading scores were Ryan Pinel 373 (125-126), Cam Parkkila 359 (137), Jordan Button 321 (131), Noah Gauthier 322 (126), Jaden Gare 320 (133) and Noah LeClair 317 (116).

         In the Marcin SMAA Senior Bantams division, the girls’ notable scores were Cecelia Rochon 295 (103), Mya Hanley 228 (86) and Olivia Quaid 187 (71). The boys’ high scores were Taylor Button 254 (102), Brody Manley 220 (81), Koby Brace 195 (66) and Nathan LeClair 149 (72).
