Sarnia Lawn Bowling Invites You to Try It Out and Join the Fun
May 7, 2015

Itís fun, good exercise and a great way to get outdoors. Itís lawn bowling!

The Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club would like to introduce you to this challenging, yet not too strenuous, sport that men and women, boys and girls, can play together on an equal basis.

All you need is some flat soled shoes and the desire to come out and have some fun! Bowls are supplied for beginners, along with some friendly instruction.

The new lawn bowling season begins in mid-May, and newcomers will be given the opportunity to try the game for free at a series of Open Houses planned by the club.

The Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club is located in Germain Park off Bright Street (adjacent to the ball and soccer fields). Open houses are scheduled for May 13 and 14, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as May 15 and 17, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Club members will be there to welcome you, introduce you to the game, and answer your questions.

Bowling season runs from May to September. The regular weekly schedule includes mixed social games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus ladies or menís bowling on Mondays. Members may choose to bowl socially or try their hand at more competitive games in various tournaments.
