 Lewicki, Best (missing) and Lacasse Roll High Triples; Ramsay Wins Shoot Out Eight

          Steve Lewicki, Billy Best, Pat Lacasse and Dennis Ramsay are the bowlers highlighted in the Lambton County Tenpin Association final bowling report of the 2014/2015 bowling season. Lewicki, Best and Lacasse had great triples in their final week at Marcin Bowl and Ramsay tasted victory in Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Eight.

          Lewicki fired 777 (270-279) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to record the high triple of the week.

          Best rolled 768 (280 - 77 pins over average - 241-247 – 159 pins over average for three games) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to post the week’s second best triple.

         Lacasse wheeled 764 (269-270) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to register the third best triple for the week.

         Ramsay won Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Eight defeating Dara Sinclair 190-170 to claim victory in the final Shoot Out this season. Thirty two courageous souls entered the tournament which took place on the “BEAR” sport shot lane condition. The top sixteen bowlers to qualify for match play competition were Kevin Schofield 611 (267), Pam Marciniszyn 575 (206), Pat Lacasse 564,  Dara Sinclair 562 (222), Jordan Croskery 556, Stephane Sirois 538 (212), Jordan Cote 532 (224), Kyle Adamson 520, Dennis Ramsay 515, Roy Mezzatesta 514, Larry Plumb 512 (214), Jeff Raymond 508, Al Scott 506 (209), Neil Sinclair 501 (202), Dean Troiani 500 and Justin Parkkila 493. Glenn Crowe was on the top position below the cut line with 492 while Melissa Crowe had 491, Ralph MacDuff 491 and Jim Lapointe 490.  Additional 200 games bowled belonged to Ben Lapointe 206 and Jim Lapointe 206.

        Rob Vandermeer bowled 739 (227-269-243) in Marcin Border City Men’s League rivalry. He was pursued by Paul Mezzatesta 681 (244-231), Dan Chopp 679 (236-227), Stephane Sirois 660 (248), Brandon Gauthier 656 (268), Kevin McMillan 652 (232), Bill Cole 645 (253), Rod Honke 642 (280 – 71 pins over average), Carl Best 639 (246), Jim Burgess 635 (224), Pat McMillan 633 (238), Brett Matthews 631, Roy Mezzatesta 627 (227), Mark Brooker 617 (233-232), Dean Troiani 604 (246), Dave LeClair 602, Zyg Mazgaj 236 – 79 pins over average and Kevin Storozuk 235. The closing tournament pin fall standings were Lehder 2714, Paddy Flaherty’s Irish Pub 2670, Sarnia Produce 2665, Marcin Bowl Two 2661, Marcin Bowl 2629, Bayshore Home Health 2626, Lola’s Lucky Lounge 2576, W. J. Barnes Ltd. 2487, Up Rite Door Ltd. 2473, Lambton Metal Services 2428 and TSM Mechanical 2412. The Lehder team members are Don Oetting, Brent Matthews, Kevin Matthews and Mel Kongus. Marcin Bowl Two, consisting of team members Bill Cole, Roy Elliott, Zyg Mazgaj and Rod Honke, won the Border City League championship. 

         Brian Watson tossed 739 (257-279) in Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League competition. He was followed by Mario Gonzalez 738 (278 – 79 pins over average – 232 – 141 pins over average for three games), Terry Spence 729 (241-256-232 – 144 pins over average for three games), Dennis Ramsay 724 (242-256), Mike Shephard 718 (269-246), Corey Willemsen 713 (245-261), Kevin Schofield 694 (278), Glenn Crowe 686 (243), Louie Willemsen 685 (259), Connor Smith 685 (269), Jim Lapointe 685 (258), Kyle Adamson 683 (245), Rob Plamondon 670 (254), Pat McMillan 659 (268), George Reid 647 (255), Jeff Chortos 641 (235-236), Roy Mezzatesta 268, Chris Luke 257, Jeff Raymond 245, Matthew Thompson 242, Randy McEachern 238, Steve Ferreira 236, Jean Guy Morin 236 and Craig Ferreira 231. Team Outfitters, consisting of Mike Shephard, Brian Long, Brian Watson and Glenn Crowe, rolled 1027 scratch in their second game for an average of 257 per bowler. Final team standings are Marcin Bowl 152, Wired 139, Best Automotive 136, Stoke’s Inland 134, Napa Auto 133, Ligate Signs 126, Marcin Bowl Pro Shop 126, We’re Wired Two 123, Rotork 122, ODS Printing 119, Northgate Home Hardware 117, Jerry’s TV 115, Danbury Homes 114, Monteith/Sutherland 110, Gutterballs Restaurant 110, Lamsar 108, R. J. Rau & Associates 106, Team Outfitters 98 and Maggots 92. Marcin Bowl team members are Lyle Lalonge, Gary Landry, Harry Hassett and Rob Plamondon.

     Rob Vandermeer wheeled 722 (224-254-244) in Marcin Triple A Mixed League play. He was tailed by Mike McGrath 616 (234), Dave Jones 598 (219), Bill Austin 585 and Ross McCorquodale 215. The ladies’ best scores were Wendy Street 547 (205), Shelley Thompson 528 (201-200), Dianne Waddell 494 and Maggie Vandermeer 471. Final team standings are Steel Magnolia 77, Sycamore 68, Tiger Blossom 65, Hangmans Elm 65, Weeping Willows 62, Sparing Sequoias 60, Mahogany 58, Pussy Willows 55, Black Walnut 55, Money Tree 55, Maple Sap 54 and Iron Wood 40.  The Steel Magnolia team members are Dianne Fetcher, Mike Street, Ernie Anderson and Wally Sandrin.

   Larry Plumb hurled 702 (244-246) in Marcin Thursday Night Men’s League flurry. He was chased by Jim Lapointe 677 (254-236), Kevin Herron 649 (225), Shawn Cotterill 646 (225), Jordan Cote 644 (246), Jean Lacroix Jr. 642 (223), Mel Matthews 640 (227), Peter MacRae 639 (220), Bill Cole 635 (247), Don Tomlinson 621 (236), Bob Avery 265 – 92 pins over average, George Reid 245, Tony Spano 244, Steve Cote 224,  Sean Doherty 223, Ryan Skinner 223 and Rudy De Gracia 221. Final team standings are The Young Plugs 311, Morlo Yardscapes 282, Canadian National ATM 277, Top Coat Painting 277, Tomlinson Enterprises 259, Lambton Alloys 253, D & D Flooring Installations 253, Lehder Environmental 249, Marcin Bowl 245 and Billie Box 239.         In Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League action, the gents’ leading scores were Adam Pinel 696 (233-226-237), Kevin Dunn 644 (228), Tyler David 625 (235), Butch Wilson 622 (214-213), Pete Baker 615, Buck McIver 603 (246), Brian Moore 551 (203), Paul Trounce 503 (182 – 70 pins over average  - 167 pins over average for three games) and Mike Vail 216. The women’s upper scores were Pam Marciniszyn 674 (228-256), Miranda David 578 (206-192), Marsha Pinel 562 (231), Deb Archer 542, Betty Baldwin 515, Janice McMillian 201 and Sue Gibb 195. Final team standings are Red Hot Chilly Peppers 158, Rainbow Chips 131, Red Snappers 128, Tickled Pink 125, Strike Gold 117, Sandbaggers 115, Black Sabbeth 114, Purple Haze 105, Blue Moon 104, Blue Balls 103, Green Alley Gato 100 and Pink Lloyd’s 86.
