Point Edward Pacers Win in Hamilton

The
Point Edward Pacers Jr B Lacrosse team were in Hamilton on Sunday
afternoon OLA league action and edged out the Bengals 7 - 6 for the
win. The Bengals took a 3 - 1 lead after the first period but
the Pacers bounced back and out scored Hamilton 4 - 1 to take a 5 -
4 lead after two periods of play. In the third the two teams
went back and forth that saw Hamilton tie things up twice but Point
Edward scored the final goal with 1:03 left in the game and held on
to take the win.
Corey Conroy led in goals scoring twice and earning a
single assist for a total 3 points. Also earning 3 points in
the game were Kevin Conroy, Cory Burr and Derrick Hastings each with
a goal and 2 assists. Jack Dunn and Jacob Coglin contributed
to the score with 1 goal each.
Both sides went scoreless on 13 power play
opportunities. Ian Ferguson earned the win in net for the
Pacers.
The Pacers are now 2 - 3 for the season and are back
in action next weekend with two home games. The first on Sat
May 9 at 7:00 pm hosting the Orangeville Northmen (4-1) from the Mid
West Division and on Sunday at 3:00 pm against the undefeated Six
Nations Rebels (4-0). Both games are played at the Point
Edward Arena.
