The Alvinston
Indians took home a
4-2 victory over the
Shedden Force in
Fingal on Thursday
night.
The game remained
scoreless until the
bottom of the third,
with Shedden taking
the lead. The inning
began with a single
by
Tyler Lynch.
A sacrifice bunt by
Rob Burns
moved Lynch to
second.
Gary Cooke
followed with a
homerun, plating
Lynch for a 2-0
lead.
In the top of the 4th,
the Indians took a
lead they would
never surrender,
scoring three runs
on a single, an
error plating one,
and a two-run home
run by Aaron
Stocking.
An RBI single by
Brad Cooper in the 5th
would add some
insurance, for a
final score of 4-2.
Kyle
Crawford's
was very effective
in his first start
of the year,
striking out
fourteen, while
allowing two earned
runs on six hits and
one walk over seven
innings.
Nic
Goetz
threw all seven
innings for the
Force, walking none,
struck out eight,
and allowed four
runs (three earned).
