May 30, 2015

The Alvinston Indians took home a 4-2 victory over the Shedden Force in Fingal on Thursday night.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the third, with Shedden taking the lead. The inning began with a single by Tyler Lynch. A sacrifice bunt by Rob Burns moved Lynch to second. Gary Cooke followed with a homerun, plating Lynch for a 2-0 lead.

In the top of the 4th, the Indians took a lead they would never surrender, scoring three runs on a single, an error plating one, and a two-run home run by  Aaron Stocking.

An RBI single by Brad Cooper in the 5th would add some insurance, for a final score of 4-2.

Kyle Crawford's was very effective in his first start of the year, striking out fourteen, while allowing two earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.

Nic Goetz threw all seven innings for the Force, walking none, struck out eight, and allowed four runs (three earned).
