The first place Leamington Flyers dominated the Sarnia Legionnaires
Thursday on their way to a 6-2 victory.
Coach Mark Davis's Jr. 'B' hockey club was in the game during the
opening 20 minutes of play and actually scored the first goal, which
came off the stick of Ethan Dupont.
Dupont, who now has two goals on the campaign, was set up by Ryan
Vendramin and Alec Dekoning.
But Leamington struck twice just before the end of the period and
went into the dressing room ahead 2-1.
“"I thought we played a pretty good first period, but their goalie
made some big saves,” Davis said.
In fact, Sarnia outshot the visitors 14-10 during the opening

his charges played a strong game against a powerhouse team.

Sarnia returns to action Thursday when it hosts LaSalle.
