On Saturday November 28, Sarnia Hockey Midget Division was in action with games in Tier 1 and 2.

 

Tier 1

A three goal effort from Cameron Orrange help lift Pt. Edward Ex-Servicemen to a 4-3 win over Kel-Gor.

Ethan Kilbreath netted the other Pt. Edward Ex-Servicemen’s goal. Jayce Barnaby and Matthew Clouse chipped in with an assists each. Timothy MacNaughton continues to shine as he lit the lamp twice for Kel-Gor. Ryan Nutt was the other marksman while Nevan Smith drew the only assist awarded. Both teams scored a power play goal.

Goalie Hendrik Lindout provided his services in net for Kel-Gor facing 22 shots and goalie Noah Caverly faced 39 shots in the win for Pt. Edward Ex-Servicemen.

Despite only having seven skaters, D&S Service Centre doubled Mr. Sub 8-4.

Adam Kapteyn had a five point night scoring twice and adding three helpers for D&S Service Centre. Jacob Serratore also had a strong performance with a two goal, two assist effort. Aston Williams found the back of the net twice and was also credited with an assist. Jack McAuley chipped in with a goal and an assist while Jake Trussler rounded out the scoring with one. Nicholas Cooper added a pair of assists to his stats. Replying from Mr. Sub with a goal and two assists was Joseph Iaccino. Vaughan Degurse picked up a goal and an assist while both Jordy Grondin and Griffin MacLeod netted single goals each. Pietro Restivo supplied an assist in his efforts. Mr. Sub scored two power play goals while D&S score one power play goal.

In his second game of the night goaltender Hendrik Lindout (Mr. Sub) was peppered with 31 shots. Goaltender Nicholas Gardner (D&S Service Centre) turned aside 23 of 27 shots.    

Tier 2

With only seven skaters Lakeshore Optimists managed to doubled Beehive Windows and Doors 4-2 in a rare scheduled Saturday match up. Maxwell Musico was in on all four goals for Lakeshore optimists as he netted a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Darius Brooks earned a goal and an assist while Vincent Lavoie rounded out the scoring with one. Both John Day and Matthew Dunn were credited with an assist apiece. Matthew Vandenberg answered with a goal and an assist for Beehive while the other sniper was Tyler McNaught. Both William Lee and Matthew Desrosiers picked up one assist each in their efforts. Goaltenders Jonathan Kameka (Lakeshore) and Daniel Brush (Beehive) made some fantastic gloves saves during this contest.

A late goal by Even Vandenbossche (second of the game) from Dante Club gave them a 6-5 victory over Sarnia Cement.

Dante Club battled back from a three goal deficit in the first period exploding with a four goal performance to eventually see both teams heading deadlocked at 4 going into the third period.

Hunter Raymo had a goal and an assist for Dante Club. Also getting on the score sheet with singles were Ben Wilson, Dallas Henry and Tamara Stone. Tyson Passingham chipped in with three assists and Kristen Smalls, Zachery Montgomery, Evan Kwan and Robert Smith each had one. Both Jacob Wilson and Austin Cormier scored twice for Sarnia Cement. Zachery Roehler supplied a goal and an assist while Tyler Kapteyn and Zachary Turner added an assist each. Goalie Daniel DiFederico (Sarnia Cement) stopped 36 of 42 shots in the loss while Kenny Portiss (Dante Club) stopped 15 of 20 in the win.
