Special teams were the difference in St. Marys Friday as the Sarnia
Legionnaires fell 5-1 to the Lincolns.
The home team scored three power play goals and allowed the visitors just
one tally with the extra man.
Nathan Smith was the big gun for St. Marys, scoring a hat-trick, with all
three coming with the extra man. Tom McHenry and Mike Tuffin had the other
markers for the winners.
Brandon Layman had Sarnia's only goal -- his fourth of the campaign. Assists
went to Jacob Stos and Brad Yowart.
Shayne Battler took the loss in net, although he blocked 31 shots. The
Legionnaires had 42 drives on the St. Marys cage.
The Legionnaires found themselves two-men short on three separate occasions.
