Mooretown Flags Lost to the Admirals

The Mooretown Flags were in Amherstburg Sunday night and dropped a 4 - 1 decision to the Admirals in Great Lakes Jr. C Hockey action.

Matt Brandon scored the lone goal on a power play in the first period with Kyle Smith and Joe DeSena earning the assist.

 

Amerherstburg scored 2 in the first and singles in the remaining two. Scoring for the Admirals were Blake Rutckyj (PP), Broden Meloche, Chad Copeland and Ryan Alexander.

 

Both teams went one for two on the power play.

 

Amherstburg outshot Mooretown 34 - 29.  Brandon Johnson took the loss in net for the Flags. Connor Meyerink earned the win.

 

Mooretown's record so far this season is 6-5.  The team is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Wallaceburg to face the Lakers.  Game time 7:30 pm.  Next home game is set for Halloween night Oct 31 hosting the Wheatley Sharks at 7:30 pm.
