The
Mooretown Flags opened their season with a 3 - 1 win against the Wallaceburg
Lakers on Saturday night in Mooretown.
Wallaceburg took the lead after
scoring the only goal in the first at 5:08 by Trevor Waller on a power play.
Second period went scoreless and in the third the Flags scored 3 for the
win. Parker Gilhuly, Alec Segers and Nolan Riley each scored singles
for the Flags.

Veteran Goaltender Brandon
Johnson earned his first win of the season making 24 saves for the Flags.
Derion Ducedre took the loss made 44 saves.
Mooretown went scoreless
on eight power play opportunities, Wallaceburg scored once on five
opportunities.
Mooretown are back in action on
Tuesday for their first road game when they travel to Essex to take on the
73's.
