SARNIA, ON - The
Sarnia Sting were
unable to return the
favour on Saturday
night at the RBC
Centre; ultimately
dropping game two of
a home-and-home
against the London
Knights by a score
of 3-1.
Former Michigan
State defenceman,
Josh Jacobs made his
debut for the Sting
tonight in front of
2057 fans at the RBC
Centre. Not in
uniform for the
Sting were regulars
Jakob Chychrun,
Pavel Zacha, Patrick
White, Daniel
Nikandrovand Zachary
Core.
For the second
straight night,
sophomore forward
Anthony Salinitri
recorded the lone
goal for the Sting.
Jeff King and Kevin
Spinozzi drew the
assists on
Salinitri's second
of the pre-season.
Sarnia native,
Justin Fazio made 27
saves in goal for
the Sting; with a
couple of big ones
midway through the
third to keep his
team in the game.
Guigovaz allowed one
goal on 15 shots
before being
relieved by Emanuel
Vella who turned
aside all 11 shots
faced.
Scoring for the
Knights were Owen
MacDonald, Matthew
Tkachuck and Evan
Bouchard.
