Creasor, Plumb, Lapointe Post Top Triples; Croskery Wins Shoot Out

          Jim Creasor, Larry Plumb, Ben Lapointe and Jordan Croskery are the bowlers honoured in the Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling report this week.

          Creasor wheeled 736 (279-248) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to post the high triple of the week.

          Plumb hurled 731 (255-279) in the Thursday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record the week’s second high triple.

          Lapointe fired 708 (253-265 – 80 pins over average and 153 pins over average for three games) in the Youth Phantom Intermediate division at Hi-Way Bowl to register the youth high triple of the week. It was his 4th 700 plus series in his young bowling career. He throws a ton of revs on his ball and has already won several Provincial single, doubles and team tournaments and has two victories in the Ontario Youth Tour.

          Croskery, a graduate from the SMAA Marcin Youth bowling program, was the winner of Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Seven. It was Croskery’s 3rd Shoot Out victory this season. Twenty-one brave bowlers challenged the difficult BEAR Sport Shot in the Shoot Out on Tuesday night. The top eight qualifiers for match play competition were Matt Salmons 643 (233-227), Mike Marciniszyn 611 (236), Larry Plumb 576 (210-205), Jim Lapointe 561 (215), Roy Mezzatesta 560 (202), Paul Mezzatesta 548, Jordan Croskery 529 (206) and Scott Salmons 523.  Jim Creasor was on the bubble below the cut line with 520. Rob Ladenchuk had a 212 single game. Croskery defeated Roy Mezzatesta in the final game 186-176.  The final Shoot Out for this season will be held on Tuesday May 3rd at 6:30 on the BADGER oil pattern. Hopefully with a super turn out we can make this the best Shoot Out of the season.

          Steve Cote pitched 718 (290) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League competition. He was followed by Mike Marciniszyn 676 (270), Pat Lacasse 668 (260), Kyle Skinner 667 (243), Nathan Gonzalez 660 (234-234), Jamie Ridealgh 659 (249), Dave Jones 655 (258), Brad Cook 654 (234), Ian Fraser 653, Wilson Plain 650, Bill Croskery 277 – 88 pins over average, Doug Black 245, Curtis Geauvreau 236, Bob Chambers 235, Johnny Wilkinson 234 and Calvin Nesbitt 232.           Adam Pinel rolled 705 (241-258) in Marcin Thursday Night Mixed League action. He was trailed by Shane Chipman 655 (245), Tyler David 639 (241), Kevin Dunn 634 (236), Mike Maxwell 618 (255 – 80 pins over average), Bob Vance 561 (214), Butch Wilson 214, Doug Snelgrove 204 and Bob Lever 203. The ladies’ top scores were Pam Marciniszyn 648 (267), Marsha Pinel 550 (210), Janice McMillan 545 (200) and Denise Harrington 504 (194).          Steve Lewicki bowled 701 (252-246) in Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League rivalry. Gord Bayly rolled 735 (246-232-257) on a bowl off. The women’s main scores were Cid Bearhart 594 (226), Jo Ellen Beveridge 488, Annette George 472 (176), Marine McQueen 454, Connie Milliken 171 and Tracy George 170.         In Marcin St. Joe’s Mixed League activity, the men’s high scores were Joe Bourgeois 593 (268), Terry Mundy 570 (226) and Mason McCarthy 553 (214). The best ladies bowler was Tonie Verbeek with 499 (181).

       In Marcin Sunday Morning Ladies League fun, top scores were Steph Chambers 542 (215), Sandra Paluch 484 (181), Michelle Fraser 484 (200), Deb Jones 474 (180), Shirley Stark 458 and   Lorene Oakes 454 (220 – 84 pins over average). Team standings are Sapphires 69, Gosh Garnet 60, Pearls Of Wisdom 58, Opal 56, Peridot Pinheads 53 and Diamonds In Rough 53.

       Topping off the scores in the Hi-Way Youth Phantom Intermediate division, were Domenic Cocozzoli 604 (232 – 63 pins over average), Jack Peckham 472 and Dalton Crowe 451. The ladies’ were led by Isadora Tremblay 438 (189), Kaela Koundakjian 410 (158) and Makenna Schuyler 389 (143).

        In the Hi-Way Youth Phantom Senior division, the gent’s best bowler was Brett Zevenbergen with 580 (203-200). The ladies top bowler was Rachel McGrath 546 (194-183).

        In the Hi-Way Youth Phantom Junior division, the boys’ high scores were Devon Crowe 563 (202-191), Cole Barber 550 (208), Chad Crouse 473 and Brodie McKinley 407. The girls’ main scores were Shayla Crouse 479 (179-163) and Emily Harris 323 (123).

         In the Hi-Way Youth Phantom Senior Preps division, leading scores were Bryce Watson 423 (153), Kole Parkkila 394 (141) and Camron Parkkila 320.

         In the Hi-Way Youth Phantom Bantams/Junior Preps division, top scores belonged to Tyleigh Winger 382 (135-125-122), Zachary Ingles 326 (153 – 77 pins over average), Elsa McKinley 298 (125), Alex Majeski 274 (98-94), Kyleigh Beauvais Chad 255 (94-87) and Laurianne Tremblay 214 (74).

        In the Hi-Way Youth Phantom Bumpers division, the best bumpers were Sophia Majeski 168 (86-82) and Layla Stothers 127 (68-59). 

        In the Marcin SMAA Junior/Intermediate division, the ladies’ top scores were Morgan Pelkie 569 (231 – 65 pins over average), Kira Pelkie 488 (176-172), Hollie-Anne Jean 434 (166), Abbey Yates-Strangway 405 (152 – 111 pins over average for three games) and Mikayla Durley 177. The gents’ best scores were Jacob Bestard 502, Grant Remes 497 (199 – 67 pins over average), Ryan Kameka 441 (155 – 126 pins over average for three games), Craig Machan 411 (148), Johnathon Kameka 402 (164), Dawson Yates-Strangway 396 (144) and Branden Riberdy 180.
