Shephard, Cook, Creasor, Croskery and Smith Share Lane Honours

Bowling Scores for Week Ending Feb. 6, 2016

          Mike Shephard, Dan Cook, Jim Creasor, Jordan Croskery and Connor Smith share the honours this week in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action as they all performed admirably on the lanes at Marcin Bowl and Hi-Way Bowl.

            Shephard had a superb night as he tossed his highest triple 827 (300-258-269 - 143 pins over average for three games) in the Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to post the week’s high triple and single. He accomplished his feats on lanes 25 & 26, bowling his career 9th perfect game in his second game. He had 32 strikes out of a possible 36 in route to his career 5th 800 plus series.

             Cook rolled 781 (248-244-289 – 93 pins over average – 193 pins over average for three games) in the Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League to record the second high triple of the week.

             Creasor had two great triples this week. He fired 751 (247-278) in the Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League and 747 (289-243) in the Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League.

             Croskery was the winner of Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Five defeating Rob Plamondon in a low scoring final game 171-166. It was Plamondon’s first attempt at the tournament and Croskery’s second victory this season in the Shoot Outs. Twenty-five courageous individuals participated in the competition which took place on the difficult 2011-2012 PBA T of C 39 foot oil pattern. The top eight bowlers to qualify for match play competition were Mike Marciniszyn 634 (202-236), Kyle Adamson 600 (236), Roy Mezzatesta 591 (222), Jordan Croskery 587 (210-209), Brandon Gauthier 580 (211), Adam Pinel 580 (224), Pam Marciniszyn 574 and Rob Plamondon 570 (218). Three players were tied in the top position under the cut line. They were Kyle Skinner 564 (207-210), Dan Chopp 564 (204) and Jeff Raymond 564 (201-207). Other 200 games rolled in the qualifying round were Larry Plumb 216, Bill Cole 214, Steve Lewicki 205 and Doug Black 200. Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Six will take place on March 1st/16 at 6:30. If thirty two bowlers take the challenge, there will be 16 qualifying spots.

              Connor Smith pitched 663 (248-232) in the Hi-Way Phantoms Senior division to register the youth high triple of the week.

              Kyle Adamson fired 741 (256-279) in Marcin Thursday Night Border City Men’s League competition. He was pursued by Billy Best 709 (243-232-234), Brandon Gauthier 701 (254-241), Dan Chopp 700 (228-237-235), Roy Mezzatesta 695 (255-246), Stephane Sirois 672 (245-228), Pat McMillan 660 (224-247), Dan Cook 651 (258), Kevin McMillan 645 (236), Kevin Storozuk 641 (222-234), Mike Mezzatesta 641 (238), Brian Potvin 625 (248), Zyg Mazgaj 594 (224 -209),  Patrick Mumby 243, Will Barnes 234, Rick Randall 229 and Dave Leclair 221. They also recorded a team triple of 2768 scratch for an average of 230 per bowler.           In the Hi-Way Youth Phantoms Junior division, the gents’ best scores Devon Crowe 557 (207-181), Chad Crouse 439 (164), William LaFramboise 419 and Matthew Waun 404.
