Sarnia Lady Sting Bantam B Wins at Notre Dame

The Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting Bantam B hockey team won the 2016 South Bend Irish Cup at Notre Dame, Indiana this past weekend defeating the Northern Michigan K Stars in the Championship Game 3-1.

In pool play, they defeated the Chicago Jets 2-0, tied the Northern Michigan K Stars 1-1 and lost 2-1 to the Orland Park Vikings.

In the semi-final they defeated the Clearview Icecats Bantam A team 3-2 in dramatic fashion with Macey Leppington scoring in a goalmouth scramble with 23 seconds left.

In the Championship Game, in a very fast, aggressive game Angelique Aliperti got a hat trick helping the team earn the Irish Cup.
