The Sarnia Legionnaires
dropped a 4-0 decision to
the London Nationals
Wednesday.
The Nats outshot Sarnia
47-22, with goalies Shayne
Battler and Aidan Hughes
sharing the netminding
duties for the Legionnaires.
Both played well, despite
the score.
Sarnia had two midget
callups in the lineup (defenceman
Nash Neinhuis and forward
Ben Schoch (who also saw
some time on the blueline).
Afterward, head coach Mark
Davis praised both rookies,
saying their good play is a
positive sign for the future
of the club.
The Legionnaires return to
action tonight (Thursday,
Feb. 18) when they host the
LaSalle Vipers. Sarnia will
introduce its new third
jersey at that time.
