Lakeshore, Ont; On Friday night the Mooretown Flags were in Lakeshore for game six in the first round of the Great Lakes Jr. C Hockey playoff series and were defeated by the Canadiens 4 - 3 to force game seven.

The power play was a major factor with three of the four goals scored by Lakeshore were with the extra man.  In total Lakeshore had five power play opportunities.  Mooretown scored once on two opportunities.

Lakeshore took the lead late in the first period at 18:50 scoring the only power play goal in the period by JJ Percy.

Matt Brandon's power play goal at 4:35 in the second evened the score with Ryan Lyle and Joe DeSena assisting.  Lakeshore then went on and scored two back to back power play goals at 13:13 and 17:09 with Steven Sartor and Sebastian Kannally scoring.  The Flags came within one before the period was over when Cameron Rannie drove the puck in at 18:54.  Trevor Bogaert picked up an assist on the play.

In a penalty free third period the two sides went back and forth and at 15:52 Lakeshore beat netminder Brandon Johnson to give the Canadians the two point spread.  The Flags continued to battle back and in the last minute of play with Johnson on the bench Joe DeSena scored at 19:19 to narrow the gap.   Flags continued with the extra man but Lakeshore held back the attack and took the win forcing the two teams to meet for the final game tonight in Mooretown.
