Congratulations
to the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting
Bantam C Hockey team for their
outstanding performance in
Exeter at South Huron's 2016
Pink on Rink Hockey Tournament.
They won the tournament with 4
wins and a tie, bringing home
the gold.
During the tournament the Lady
Sting defeated Petrolia 3 - 0,
South Huron 2 - 0, and tied East
Lambton 1 - 1. They won the
semi-finals game against
Mitchell 4 - 2.
In the very intense championship
game against TCDMHA, Abby
Allardyce scored an unassisted,
short handed goal in the first
four minutes of play making the
score 1 - 0, the team played
outstanding and fought hard for
the rest of the game keeping the
1 - 0 lead. With less than a
minute and a half left of
playtime Maddie Gould scored
assisted by Gaby Laprise and
Taylor Fisher making the final
score 2 - 0.
Alexa Whitlaw, the goalie for
the team had three shutouts and
3 goals scored against her the
whole tournament.
