London, scored three times in
the opening period and the lead
was too much to overcome as the
Sting suffered their third loss
to the Knights 6-2, in front of
4,330, Thursday night, at the
Sarnia Sports and Entertainment
Centre.
Christian Dvorak had a hat
trick, as part of a four point
effort to power the Knights to
their fourth win in a row. Mitch
Marner, produced a pair of goals
along with an assist and Daniel
Bernhardt also scored once.
Matthew Tkachuk and Aaron
Berisha, chipped in with three
helpers each.
Tyler Parsons stopped 26 of 28 for London. Sarnia out shot London
28-26. Patrick White and Ryan
McGregor scored for Sarnia.
Charlie Graham went the distance
for the Sting in net.
After an evenly played first half of the opening period, the London
Knights reeled off three
straight goals in the final ten
minutes and skated off with a
big lead after the first period
of play. Christian Dvorak opened
the scoring at 10:02 from Aaron
Berisha. Four minutes later the
Knights struck again at 14:12,
on a goal from the slot by
Daniel Bernhardt with the
assists going to Berisha and
Olli Juolevi. It went to 3-0 at
18:22, as Mitchell Marner scored
from in front of the net.
Dvorak, scored his second of the contest in the second period on
the powerplay at 5:57, but the
Sting got on the board less than
two minutes later as Patrick
White scored his 11th of the
year, from Travis Konecny and
Jeff King. Marner, then scored
his second of the night with the
Knights on the man advantage, to
increase the London lead to 5-1.
The goal came late at 15:31, and
the Knights skated into the
second intermission with a
comfortable 5-1 lead.
McGregor pulled Sarnia to within three goals with an unassisted
goal at 6:16 of the third
period. Dvorak scored his third
of the night to wrap up the
scoring at 16:13.

team goals, going 2/3 on the
power play. Sarnia was 0/2.

Sarnia had three of it’s current
players listed on the NHL
Central Scouting Midterm
Rankings for the 2016 NHL Draft.
Alternate Captain and
defensemen, Jakob Chychrun was
ranked second, forward Jordan
Kyrou, was listed at number 45
and forward Anthony Salinitri
was ranked at 126.
Highly touted Finland, Patrik
Laine, who the Sting selected
24th overall in the 2015 CHL
Import Draft, was ranked third
among International Skaters.
Three other players that have
ties to the Sting organization
that were ranked included Luke
Kunin (2013 OHL Priority
Selection), ranked #16th, Mitch
Eliot (2014 OHL Priority
Selection), ranked #89 and
Graham McPhee (2014 OHL Priority
Selection), was listed at number
#92.
The NHL Entry Draft takes place
in Buffalo, New York, the
weekend of June 24 and 25.
