Midget Tier 2 Playoff Highlights

The competition
between all four teams in the
Sarnia Hockey Association Midget
Tier 2 house league play-off
action was tight in week 17.
Craig Vanderlaan was in on all 5
goals as he scores three times
and added two helpers for Sarnia
Cement in the 5-4 win over Dante
Club. Zachery Roehler picked up
four points scoring a goal and
adding three assists. Austin
Cormier produced a single marker
and chipped in with two assists.
Jayden Geerts-Knowles was
credited with an assist. Two
goals and an assist from Evan
Vandenbossche led Dante Club’s
offense. Evan Kwan supplied a
goal and an assist in his
efforts. Also picking up the
assists were Zachery Montgomery
with two and Duncan Taylor with
one. Both goaltenders Daniel
DiFederico (Sarnia Cement) and
Kenny Portiss (Dante Club) come
up with some big saves in
keeping their teams in the hunt
for a win.

Both Beehive Windows and Doors
and Lakeshore Optimists had to
settle with a 5 all draw.
Dylan Schroeter and William Lee
had a goal and an assist each
for Beehive. Tyler McNaught,
Jacob Cunningham and Peyton
Demarco also tallied once.
Clayton Peters added two assists
to his stats while Alexander
Tanguay and Jamie Roberts each
added one to theirs. Bryce
Smiley provided two goals for
Lakeshore while Joshua Glass
earned a goal and an assist.
Rounding out the scoring with
singles were Logan Harvey and
Bryce Dummitt. Goalie Kenny
Portiss (Dante Club) provided
the goaltending in back to back
games and gave a solid
performance. Lakeshore goalie
Jonathan Kameka also had a
strong effort between the pipes.
