Bowling Scores for Week Ending May 7, 2016

 

       Jim Creasor, Stephane Sirois, Johnny Wilkinson and Dan Chopp were the top bowlers in Lambton County Tenpin Association bowling action this past week.

         Creasor rolled 793 (246-268-279) in the Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to post the high triple of the week. He also was the winner of Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Eight.

          Sirois fired 781 (248-256-277 – 154 pins over average for three games) in the Thursday Night Border City Men’s League at Marcin Bowl to record his highest personal triple and the second highest triple of the week.

          Wilkinson tossed 297 in the Hi-Way Bowl 1st annual Invitational Scratch Double Elimination Tournament to register the high single of the week.

          Chopp was the winner of the Hi-Way Bowl Scratch Double Elimination Tournament.

         The Hi-Way Bowl 1st annual Invitational Scratch Double Elimination Tournament was held on April 30th with the maximum thirty-two brave souls participating in head to head match play competition. The object of the tournament was very simple - not to lose any games. Two losses sent you to the showers. Dan Chopp defeated Johnny Wilkinson in the final game going undefeated to win the top prize of $400.00. Johnny Wilkinson was 2nd, Jordan Cote 3rd, Connor Smith 4th, Jamie Ridealgh / Billy Best 5th//6th, Steve Bas/Dennis Ramsay 7th/8th, Kyle Adamson/Mike Marciniszyn/Ben Lapointe/Bill Ridealgh 9th/10th/11th/12th and Jim Creasor, Matt Salmons, Justin Parkkila, Kyle Skinner 13th/14th/15th/16th. Dominant scores rolled in the tournament were Johnny Wilkinson 297-257-237, Jim Lapointe 279, Bill Ridealgh 277, Jordan Croskery 268, Justin Parkkila 258, Ben Lapointe 257-242, Mike Shephard 249, Steve Bas 247, Jordan Cote 246-234, Jim Creasor 245-237, Dan Chopp 245-244-242, Kyle Skinner 245, Jamie Ridealgh 243, Kyle Adamson 239, Billy Best 235 and Scott Salmons 233. 

        Marcin Bowl Shoot Out Eight took place on Tuesday May 3rd with 36 participants bowling on the challenging BADGER oil pattern. The top sixteen bowlers to qualify for match play competition were Jordan Croskery 638 (210-202-226), Glenn Crowe 619 (201-252), Steve Lewicki 608 (219-231), Ben Lapointe 600 (235-212), Jim Lapointe 595 (212-241), Connor Smith 588 (210), Neil Sinclair 584 (200), Jim Creasor 582 (222), Jeff Raymond 577, Melissa Crowe 559 (235), Brian Core 553 (220), Curtis Geauvreau 547 (204), Stephane Sirois 543, Dennis Ramsay 536 (203), Noah Best 528 and Larry Plumb 527 (203).The top five bowlers below the cut line were Ken Nimmo 526 (203), Quincy VanEkeren 523 (201), Tom Ladenchuk 520, Matt Salmons 519 and Ralph MacDuff 519. Creasor defeated Melissa Crowe in the final game.

         Scott Salmons hurled 731 (228-246-257) in Marcin Sunday Morning Men’s League competition.          Dennis Ramsay wheeled 725 (256-266) in Marcin Bluewater Monday Night Men’s League rivalry.         In Marcin Sarnia Aamjiwnaang Mixed League fun, the gents’ upper scores were Greg Gray 634 (235), Terry Mundy 617 (255), Gord Bayly 581 and Jody Antila 562 (210). The women’s noted scores were Jo Ellen Beveridge 535 (200), Cid Bearhart 513, Marnie McQueen 484, Annette George 461 and Lana White 460. The ladies’ were led by Marilyn Mullen 512 (190), Carolyn Geauvere 477 (183) and Sue Sorensen 473 (182).
