Lambton Shores, ON - The Leamington Flyers scored
five unanswered goals in a 5-0 shutout over the
Lambton Shores Predators Saturday night in Junior B
hockey action.
Leamington
had a pair of goals 15 seconds a part in the first
period, as Matt Ogden and Cheyne Matheson made it
2-0 quickly for the Flyers. Dakota Olvin would give
the Flyers a three goal lead with his late period
goal.
In the
second, the Predators couldn't find the back of the
net despite outshooting the Flyers 10-5. Leamington
however would get a short handed goal from Nicholas
Nicodemo near the end of the period for the 4-0
lead.
In the
third Ron Soucie would score on the power play for
the Flyers fifth goal, while Colin Greeley stopped
five shots from the Predators in the third and 27 in
total for the shutout victory.
Brandon
Campbell made 29 saves in the loss for the
Predators.
Lambton
Shores will next take on St. Thomas on Sunday, as
the Predators will have their next four games on the
road and will not play at home again until January
6th against Sarnia.
