St. Thomas, ON - Brendon Merritt scored twice for
the Lambton Shores Predators, but unfortunately it
was the only two goals the Predators would score in
a 6-2 loss to the St. Thomas Stars.
Davis
Boyer would score in the first period for the Stars
followed by Merritt's first off the game for a 1-1
first period.
In the
second, St. Thomas would open with two quick power
play goals, as Brett Hope and Mac Wood scored 1:21 a
part for a 3-1 Stars lead. Wood would add his second
in a row just over a minute later and Drew Collinson
would score the fourth Stars goal of the period as
St. Thomas lead 5-1 after two periods.
In the
third, Merritt would get his second goal, but Scott
Mitchell would score 40 seconds later, as the Stars
hand the Predators their fourth loss in a row.
Brandon
Campbell made 33 saves in the loss for Lambton
Shores.
" We had a very good
first period. The second period we stayed in the
dressing room. The third we played well. The
guys don't understand we are fighting for a
playoff position and playing two way hockey is
very important. Until we do that the results
will be the same" said Head Coach Mark Davis.
Lambton
Shores will head to Strathroy next Saturday.
