Sarnia, ON - 20 games were on schedule for
LSSAA high school sports Tuesday afternoon,
including volleyball, basketball, hockey and curling
action.
In girls
curling, Northern defeated SCITS 4-2 and now are
tied for first place with St. Patrick's with a 2-1
record. SCITS falls to 0-2 on the year.
In boys
curling Northern also defeated SCITS 6-0, while St.
Chris defeated North Lambton 11-3. St. Chris is in
first place with a undefeated 4-0 record, while
Northern is 3-1, SCITS 0-2, and 1-2-0-1.
In girls
hockey, St. Chris and North Lambton skated to a 3-3
tie. Jim Poole, Sammy Pakvis and Allie Regan scored
for St. Chris while Karley Campbell scored for North
Lambton. St. Chris remains in first with a 2-0-1
record, while North Lambton is in fourth 0-2-2
record.
In senior
boys basketball, Northern defeated SCITS 74-21,
while St. Chris edged out St. Clair 45-33, with Mike
Rocca scoring 27 points and Martin Popiel scoring 7.
Northern and St. Chris both remain undefeated on the
season, while SCITS falls to 0-3 and St. Clair 1-2.
In junior
basketball, St. Patrick's doubled up St.
Francois-Xavier 59-27, while Northern beat SCITS
44-34 and St. Christ doubled St. Clair 46-21. Much
like the seniors, Northern and St. Chris are
undefeated, while St. Pat's is 4-1.
In girls
volleyball action, Northern defeated SCITS 3-0,
LCCVI defeated North Lambton 2-1, and St.
Francois-Xavier defeated St. Patrick's 3-0 in junior
girls action, while Northern defeated SCITS 3-0.
