Lambton Shores, ON - The Battle of Lambton County is
all square at 2-2 after the Sarnia Legionnaires
defeated the Lambton Shores Predators 4-0 Friday
night in Forest.
Nathan
Mater scored twice for Sarnia, once in the second
period on the power play, and again in the third 57
seconds into the period. It was Mater's 8th and 9th
goal of the season.
Jason
Teschke opened the scoring in the first period on
the power play, scoring with three minutes remaining
in the period. Jesse Drydak would add Sarnia's third
goal of the game for his 100th goal as a member of
the Sarnia Legionnaires.
Kyle
Washer had the start for the Legionnaires, making
all 28 saves for his 11th win of the season and
second shutout of the year. Brandon Campbell started
for the Predators and made 27 saves on 31 shots in
the loss.
Neither
team has been able to win at home in the series, as
Sarnia has won both in Lambton Shores, winning the
previous match 5-2 back in October. Lambton Shores
defeated Sarnia 7-4 back in September and 6-4 in
November. They will meet again on January 6th in
Lambton Shores.
Sarnia
next takes on St. Thomas on Sunday, while the
Predators will take on Chatham on Saturday.
