Sting drop second in a row over weekend road trip

Brampton, ON -  The Sarnia Sting lost their second in a row after a 6-1 loss to the Brampton Battalion on Sunday afternoon.

Brampton opened the first period scoring three on the Sting, including a goal by Zach Bell 1:03 into the start of the period. Barclay Goodrow would follow it up with a short handed goal and Michael Santini would make it 3-0 Brampton, out shooting the Sting 14-8.

In the second period Sarnia would get on the score sheet, as Charlie Sarault would net his 14th of the season on the power play.

Brampton would respond in the second half of the period with two more goals, as Jordan Auld would get one by Brandon Hope, and Santini would pick up his second of the game.

In the third, Santini would finish off the hat-trick, scoring Brampton's sixth goal of the afternoon.

Brandon Hope made 39 saves in the loss, as the Sting were outshot 45-20 in the game.
