Sarnia, ON - The Rebound charity event headlined a
day of LSSAA high school sports, as local students
get ready for their last week before the winter
break.
Senior
Boys Basketball
LCCVI
edged out the SCITS Blue Bombers 34-32 to earn their
first victory of the season while the Bombers still
look for their first. Jarred Tuckey had 10 points
for the Lancers while Alex McLean and Phil Langstaff
each had seven points. Sonier had 18 points for the
now 0-5 Blue Bombers.
Northern
and St. Chris also played, putting their undefeated
seasons on the line. The Vikings would walk out with
their perfect record after a 66-48 victory. Mike
Girling was named player of the game for the Vikings
(5-0) while Mike Rocca was named the player of the
game for the Cyclones (4-1).
Junior Boys Basketball
SCITS
moved to 3-4 on the season after a 24-14 victory
over the LCCVI Lancers. Keenan Smith had six points
for the Bombers while Nathan Campbell had four. Ryan
Woods had four points for the Lancers who move to
2-5 on the year.
St. Chris
doubled up on the Vikings with a 64-27 win. Elsley
had 22 points for the Cyclones while Calum Dietzel
had 10 for the Vikings. St. Chris remains undefeated
at 7-0, while Northern sits at 6-1.
St.
Patrick's also picked up their fifth win of the
season with a 58-48 victory over St. Clair. P.
Whitson had 22 points for the Irish while C. Maness
had 17 for the Colts who go to 3-3 on the year.
Midget Boys Basketball
In the
only midget boys game of the day, Northern defeated
St. Chris 48-43. Jordan Walsh had 13 points while
Geoff Spielmann had 10 for the Vikings. J. Iacobelli
had 25 points for the Cyclones. Northern is now 5-0
on the season, while St. Chris moves to 2-2.
Junior Girls Volleyball
LCCVI had
a 3-0 victory over SCITS, earning their third
victory of the season while SCITS falls to 0-7 on
the year. Daylin Galvin (SCITS) and Lexine
vanLeerzem (LCCVI) were named players of the match.
St. Chris
defeated Northern 3-0, winning 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.
Haley Potvin (St. Chris) and Laura Drope (Northern)
were the players of the match, while St. Chris
continues their perfect 7-0 season, while Northern
has a 6-2 record.
St.
Francois also won 2-1 over North Lambton, winning
25-17 and 25-19, while dropping a match 25-20. They
now move to 5-2 while the Eagles are 1-7.
Senior Girls Volleyball
Northern
defeated St. Chris 2-1, winning 25-19, 25-17 and
losing 25-13. Mackenzie Colbran (Northern) and
Jessica Taylor (St. Chris) were named players of the
match, as Northern remained perfect at 6-0, while
the Cyclones fall to 2-3.
