Sarnia, ON -
Nick Burgess had three goals and an assist for Lowes
White in a 4-1 victory over Lowes Red in the Peewee
finals of the Tim Horton's House League Tournament.

Both
goalies started the game making key saves to keep
the game scoreless, as Lewis Haagsma stopped Nathan
Moro on a breakaway shot, and Daniel Difederico
stopped Burguess on his first shot of the game.
Burgess
would soon after get his first of the game, getting
the puck around the defence and cutting across the
top of the crease and sliding it past Difederico to
give Lowes White the 1-0 lead after the first period
of play.
In the
second period, Burgess would find the back of the
net again, putting another deke move on Difederico
and scoring on his forehand for a 2-0 Lowes White
lead.
Tyler
Dudman would answer quickly back for Lowes Red,
putting a shot on net that beat Haagsma to cut the
lead in half after two periods of play.

In the
third, Burgess would look for the hat-trick, but
Difederico would come up with a glove save to keep
it a one goal game. Burgess would then take a double
minor penalty, putting his team on the penalty kill
where it would prove very costly.
Dudman
would pick up his second of the game, sending a
wrist shot high in the slot through a crowd that
beat Haagsma high, ending the first half of the
double minor powerplay. Lowes Red would then take
their first lead of the game as Dayten Vanderslagt
would get a shot from the point through to the back
of the net for the second goal on the power play and
the 3-2 lead.
The lead
wouldn't last long, as Burgess would throw the puck
net and it would deflect to Jacob Serratore who put
it in to tie the game at 3-3.
With the
period nearing the end, Burgess would complete his
hat-trick, chipping in a rebound over Difederico for
the game winning goal.
Lowe's
White would hold off any extra attack, and take the
Peewee Championship 4-3.
