Forest, ON - Sean Myers scored three times and
picked up four points for the Chatham Maroons, as
they defeated the Lambton Shores Predators 6-3
Saturday night in Junior B hockey.
Lambton
Shores started the game with the lead, as Corey
Pawley made it 1-0 1:24 into the first period.
But in the
middle of the period, it took the Maroons 41 seconds
to take the lead, as Myers would pick up his first
of the game, followed by Thomas Eady scoring to make
it a 2-1 game.
The
Predators would respond with the tying goal, as
Trevor Ladd made it 2-2, but Chatham would be quick
to respond again, as Myers picked up his second of
the game 40 seconds later on the power play, as
Chatham got out of the first with the 3-2 lead.
In the
second, the power play would again hurt the
Predators as Marco Canzoneri made it a 4-2 Chatham
lead. Before the period would end, the lead would be
three goals, as Burke D'Souza capped off a two goals
period.
In the
third Brendon Mettitt would cut the lead to two
goals, scoring his 12th of the season, but it
wouldn't be enough, as Myers would finish the game
with the hat-trick on an empty net goal.
Justin
Tugwell got the start for the Predators and made 40
saves in the loss.
Leamington
will come to town on Saturday, December 10th as the
