Point Edward Novice on the road

December 3^rd, 2011 – Point Edward Blackhawks take it on the road to the Tri-Township Arena to face the Mount Brydges Red.

The Blackhawks didn’t waste any time lighting up the scoreboard, taking a two goal lead less than 6 mins. into the 1^st period, but Mount Brydges wasn’t about to roll over and answered with one of their own. Keeping the score close with only a one goal difference as the period ended with the Blackhawks up 3-2.

Mount Brydges spent the 2^nd period forcing the Blackhawks to work hard if they wanted to spread the lead. With that hard work and some well placed passing, the Blackhawks were able to control the puck for most of the period, and ended up sneaking two more in to the oppositions net.

The Blackhawks didn’t let up for one second, as they fired in two quick goals to start the 3^rd period, but Mount Brydges wasn’t about to quit either, as they were still fighting to make a comeback, but they just couldn’t seem to find a way past the Blackhawks goalie. Making another rush, the Blackhawks found the back of the net, bringing the game to an end at 8-2.

Final Score – Point Edward Blackhawks win 8-2

The “Performance Player of the Game” Award went to Logan Beauvais for hustling after the puck and playing his position with dedication.
